I am looking for online test software that will permit me to prepare a test, put it in my wiki (or web site), have students get the test and take it, and the grades are posted. It seems lots of packages might do this, but I don't seem to be able to absolutely, positively, nail it down.
Have you looked at ExamView? Many of the texts I've taught from come with the ExamView software and test banks. I've also used Exam View to write tests of my own. You can utilize the ExamView website to have test results sent to you, but my district's security policy makes that difficult. Luckily, I can save a test as an interactive webpage to my district server and still have the results emailed to me.
Examview works great. The problem I have though is that some students (really a lot of them) don't have internet at home to use or their parents restrict its use for fear of viruses or too much time on facebook or myspace.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi,
You can check Online Exam Software , a simple and detailed Online Exam Software.
You can try castlelearning as well that's what my teacher uses. The good thing about castle learning is that it makes the grades for you so the student automatically knows what their grade will be. And it gives explanations for why the answer was wrong too.
