Hi everyone,

I'm about to finish BBA-accounting but I don't know which GPA do postgraduate schools look at?
In my transcript, I have a cumulative and Overall GPA. They are different.

Say, I'm considering applying for a master degree. Which one will be looked at?

Thanks for any comments

Depends on the school you apply to. The most common is last two years or last 90 hours GPA, which often does not appear on transcripts but is, instead, calculated separately by the school.

Good advice.

I also put both GPA's on my resume (Cumulative and Business GPA).

Also, be aware that there are normally two admissions standards for academic programs (versus professional programs). You have to be admitted to the school (the easy part), where they will have a set minimum GPA and a set way of calculating that GPA. Then you also have to be admitted to the program (major/department), which is much more subjective and can pretty much choose to look at GPA any way they want.
I am not as familiar with professional program admissions. Seems like they generally have a set formula for GPA, but GPA is part of the overall admissions package rather than just a minimum cutoff. Getting past the school level of admissions is more difficult, and there may not be a major/department level to admissions.
