I just recently moved to El Paso from New England. I like to try new beer, (bottle and tap) and for places to buy beer with a good micro-brew selection.

Any help would be appreciated!

Jaxon's on Airway has a micro brewery but I don't know if they sell carry out. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge about this will post. Good luck.

sorry, your outta luck with local brews on tap. Im not sure we even have a micro brew in El Paso. There are a few chain restaurants that also brew beer on site like Jaxson's or BJ's pizza but they aren't very good when compared to a real local beer. Some bars will carry regional brands that are pretty good though, sorry I can't remember their names. Billy Crues in NM has the best selection of beer but I think it is all bottled and you can try the Sun Harvest on the westside as well. Also, there is a pizza place on cincinati st. with a decent selection in the cooler as well.

I believe BJs is a brewhouse. Could be wrong.

Doesn't Crave in Kern Place have a large selection?

yeah, its sort of half and half but I think the restaurant supports the brewhouse. BJ's has decent pizza and a pretty nice turkey sandwhich. I looked up the pizza place on cincinati, its Ardovino's.

Jaxon's has some damn good beers that they brew, and you can buy it by the jug! On Wednesdays they have a 2 dollar pint night.

Hemingway's on Cincy has a good selection of bottled microbrews, as does Ardovinos.

There is High Desert Brewing Company in Las Cruces. They some really good beers but the place is sort of a stink hole. De La Vega's Pecan Grill and Brewery has beers from Sierra Blanca Brewing in Ruidoso area.

After you have a chance to sample microbrews. Don't forget to try Shiner beer.

My fav is Shiner Bock. But they have a variety of brews.

I'll throw out a third vote for Ardovino's on Cincinnati. There are a couple other Ardovino's restaurants in town, but the one on Cincinnati is the best. They have a decent micro-brew selection, and the five-cheese pizza is damn good.
