I'm a one person household. Utility bills are around $155 monthly averaged out for 2000 Sq. Ft. house. That includes electric, gas and water. Water is always around $51 and gas $22.

Car insurance is a little higher than Washington State. Home insurance is about average.

Like always, everything is variable depending on house size, household size, yard type (grass, rocks), type of car, etc.

One thing I do miss about El paso is the cheap utility bills. I pay about that in just my electric bill on a smaller house. AC is expensive in the hot summer heat of Houston.

Wow, that's pretty high! My last bill was $154 and I lower my temperature to 69 before going to bed.

Is anyone familiar with Socorro or Horizon City? I might be moving there really soon and would like to find somewhere thats not in the middle of the city, i want to avoid anything crowded. I might be working off Gateway.

I looked into Santa Teressa but dont wanna pay NM state taxes.

Where on Gateway?? Horizon City is just basic suburbia, I think. I would avoid Socorro.

Horizon City is more like exurbia. Poorly connected to the rest of El Paso and zero development planning, even worse than the far East Side. I'm not a fan.

Horizon City sucks. If you like a longer drive and dead city after 9pm, go for it.
