The platform the Democrats have been running on for the last two decades have been fulfilled in the Obama presidency. Healthcare, gay marriage, immigration, DODT, and etc were initiatives Democratic candidates have been running on for millenia. The problem is that the Obama years had dealt with these on a grand scale policy wise. So what can the DNC adopt in 2014?

DODT is the only thing on that list that has been dealt with. The majority of legal minds are saying the courts will not make a brought ruling and make gay marriage legal in all 50 states. Healthcare still needs to be tweaked, immigration is no where near over with.

also, arent party platforms only done every 4 years ?

Default More of same

Democrats are in step with modern times. Inclusion, equality, helping those who are sick, historically disadvantaged, the poor, the elderly. The ideology of the Dems as represented by their platform under the great President Obama needs no tweaking. It is infinitely superior to the stench represented by the regressive GOP.

The pressure is on Pubs to re-create themselves since their obsession with protecting the rich has never worked. This is difficult however because they flounder with their heads in the sand and a foot in their mouths.

Dems merely need to continue, presenting their superior solutions to the problems that plague this nation. We're still digging out of the Dubya Dark Ages with Republican obstructionism in Congress.
