i call out republicans on here when they do it, so ill be fair and call out dems when they do it, like in this instance.
ppp is a democratic pollster. ppp doesn't lean to the left, ppp leans to the left and takes another step over with its polling.
you should not look at this poll as having much meaning or merit.
Maybe Tropols, I'm not familiar with it. But the same poll shows Obama trailing every other GOP candidate (or quasi-candidate) in Texas except Perry and Palin. So its kind of hard to make the case it's biased toward Dems, I think.
its an admitted Democratic pollster. its not like rasmussen, which pretends its neutral, even though it has on average a 3.5 point bias towards the right.
But PPP (D) is a democratic pollster, meaning the results are biased and cant be trusted.
in this instance its to make perry look weak, as he is the governor of texas and obama is beating him.
if you want a true unbiased poll, field poll of california is as good as it gets, although it only focuses on california for the most part.
gallup, mason dixon, are a few others that are neutral down the line.
stay away from rasmussen, daily kos(resarch 2000), the poll you mentioned(ppp) as they all are heavily slanted.
I'm drawing conclusions from poll numbers, Nita. If you have poll numbers that contradict these, please share them with us.
There is another Texas poll out there (Lyceum 06-17-11) that has Perry's in-state approval at 54%, but reports that only 31% of Texans think he should run for president. Stacked up against the other GOP candidates, Texan Republicans support for a Perry run is 9%.
Hardly a ringing endorsement, from the folks who know Perry best. Don't ya think?
And you can save your pity for the GOP- I think they're gonna need it
I think it's all the gay rumors. That is like kryptonite to Texans.
