Could you imagine a President saying some of the things Michelle Bachmann has said?

Quote:
Bachmann said, "What I want them to know is that, just like John Wayne is from Waterloo, Iowa, that's the kind of spirit that I have too."

As the Washington Times pointed out, movie star John Wayne was born in Iowa — but Winterset, Iowa, which is about 140 miles from Waterloo.

There was, however, a famous John Wayne who used to live in Waterloo. His name was John Wayne Gacy, and he was a terrifying clown who raped and murdered 33 young men in the seventies

Sure every Pres and candidates make errors. Ok, this was a biggy, could almost be considered funny in a way. Obviously she really slipped up.

"57 states" = I got nothing so let me try to deflect this with a mindless one liner that I don't have to think too hard about.

Obama misspoke, which is something everyone does, this much like her NH statements was simply factually wrong.

Anyway for her crazy statements, I would say its probably one of the kids in school will start trying out homosexuality ones or the whole re education camps.

Actually the most hilarious and idiotic thing Obama says is that he is going to create "green jobs." That one is a riot.

Or maybe it was him saying he is going to cut the deficit in half within his first term. LOL that one really made me laugh!

No-- wait-- the best one of all was when he told all the stupid believers he was going to bring "change" to America... how'd that work out for you?

I heard her say in her announcement today, "Everything I needed to know I learned in Iowa."

She left Iowa for Minnesota when she was in elementary school.

All of that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread, which is that Michelle Bachmann or her ghostwriter didn't understand that the spirit of John Wayne, in Waterloo, Iowa, could just as easily refer to an infamous serial killer in Waterloo as it could to a Western movie star.

Feel free to start a thread of "Dumb things Obama has said." I might even join it. But right now you're engaging in a pointless threadjack to deflect attention away from the fact that Michelle Bachmann formally announced her campaign and already she's made a hilariously dumb statement.

I'm glad she's in. This political season needs some theatre of the absurd and black humor, and Sarah can't afford the cut in pay to run.

I'm just saying, when Obama talks (or reads from the teleprompter) he makes everyone else seem smarter-- including Michelle Bachmann.
