I wouldn't vote for Rick Perry if they put a gun to my head and said pull the ballot lever.
You mean there was somebody to vote for in 2008?

I didn't vote because I thought the only choices were McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden.

Obama is trying to put everyone on welfare and unemployment and food stamps to get the entitlement vote. They want their government check!

The latest Gallup poll shows Rick Perry vaulting into the lead for the Republican presidential nomination over former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.

Perry led with 29 percent in the poll, followed by Romney at 17 percent. Texas Congressman Ron Paul was third with 13 percent and Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was in fourth place at 10 percent.

If the choice were between Perry and Obama, yes; but I hope he does not get that far unless he changes his pro-illegal stance. We need someone that will secure our borders and send the illegals packing. That is the biggest problem our country has at the moment.

If it were in fact Perry that won the primaries. I would have to pick him as the lesser of two evils.

Will Rudy run (http://www.sacbee.com/2011/08/30/3872351/ap-interview-post-911-politics.html#ixzz1WXr9JRYR - broken link)?

Giuliani says he's seriously eyeing another run for the nomination despite the spectacular failure last time. He's critical of President Barack Obama, saying the Democrat has made a faltering economy even worse.

Giuliani would focus mainly on winning New Hampshire, a state whose Republicans are more moderate than those in Iowa and where independents can vote in the primary. The issue environment has vastly changed since 2008, and Giuliani insists he's got the credentials voters are seeking.

"I wouldn't de-emphasize (national security) but right now you have to talk about what people are concerned about, and what they're concerned about is the economy," Giuliani said. "I do have the economic credentials. I ran one of the most complicated economies in the United States and one that was in terrible trouble. And I turned it around."

Giuliani said he wouldn't make a final decision until well after the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, probably the end of September. Several other top contenders, including Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are already campaigning for the nomination.
