Michele Bachmann's Holy War | Rolling Stone Politics

She was an IRS collections attorney

She has a lesbian step-sister but opposes gay marriage

She became involved with a charter school and tried to force Christian Biblical Principles into the curriculum

In all her years of policitcs she has never passed any meaningful legislation

"Her obsession with gay culture led her to bizarre behavioral extremes. In April 2005, after the State Senate refused to even vote on her constitutional amendment, she hid in the bushes outside the State Capitol during a gay-rights rally. "

She has 5 kids but talks as if she still has 23 additional foster kids.

She is a religious zealot and often lies and then is hurt when she is caught telling them which then ironically seems to propel her to the next level.

She is REALLY focused and determined.

I agree Michelle Bachmann seems kind of crazy, but I wouldn't take what Rolling Stone Magazine says too seriously. It really is pretty biased and liberal oriented...

OFGS, I have a gay foster daughter and I oppose gay marriage: so does she even though she and her partner have been together for 18 years.

Charter schools often are based on religion to some degree. They are a gap between public school and private schools.

She was an IRA collection attorney, so what?

What do you mean about never passed a meaningful legislation?

She does not talk about still having 23 forster kids and she talks about her kids as well but chooses, unlike some politicians to keep her family out of her campaign. We had several foster kids as well; this is something many foster parents do talk about. Be a foster parent, maybe you would understand.

Nita

ps: at this time I am certainly not a strong supporter of her, but I hate seeing this type of witch hunt regardless of the candidate.

Additional:

She talks about (uses) her foster kids ALL THE TIME as if the fact she had them is a qualification for the Presidency.

She talks against "big" government but accepts big WELFARE checks in the form of farm subsidies.

She believes Minnesotans should be "armed and dangerous" because the census will lead to internment camps.

She is incapable of independent thought or actions believing her husband is her owner and HE tells her what to do.

She does NOT believe in sexual equality...believing women are subservient, hence inferior, to men.

She wants to start McCarthy like investigations (witch hunts) into members of Congress SHE thinks are making anti-American statements.

Most important: She's whackadoodle nuts!

Agree...we do not need a theocracy & do not need this person anywhere near the White House. This whole "men are dominant" dynamic is very insidious because it is often used as a rationale for male->female abuse/domestic violence. Woman in the relationship gets a little uppity? No problem, God says it's OK to take her down a notch or two, even if the man has to get physical about it. That line of thinking is just a couple of clicks aways from the Taliban. Thanks but NO THANKS!

She is a Religious nut. I wouldn't want a nut like her as president. Especially with a closet case husband she has. (dangerous) I love the way she talks about big government, yet, she takes over 137,000 dollars in medicare payments. Typical republican, talks about big government but takes whatever she can from it.

Wow! I'm not a Bachmann supporter (at all) - but some of you sound just as wackadoodled as you purport Bachmann to be.

Oblahblah spent decades in Jeremiah Wright's church. That makes Obama's religious views FAR more suspect to me than Bachmann's. She never took a dime in Medicare payments. That is a flat out lie.
