Herman Cain: 'I'm going after Romney' at debate - Alexander Burns and Juana Summers - POLITICO.com
In a radio interview just now, Herman Cain previewed his Tuesday night debate plan: “I’m going after Romney.”
"I’m not going after Perry. I don’t need to go after Perry," Cain said, per POLITICO's Juana Summers.
Cain said he expected to take incoming fire over his "9-9-9" economic plan:
“The center of attention is going to be 9-9-9 because all of the questions are supposed to revolve around the economy.”
“All of them are going to try to attack me for this radical 9-9-9 plan. Here's where they don't have a chance, in all modesty. All of their economic proposals pivot off of the current tax code. You know that's a non-starter. I'm going to basically say, if they attack me on 9-9-9, it'll be a very easy pushback. I can explain it, I can defend it, we've had it scored and all of that.”
“I expect all of the attacks on me to be against my 9-9-9 plan.”

Really??? I must have missed it...lol. Cain seems like he really likes Mitt Romney to me and vice versa. I think a Romney/Cain ticket might work actually!

I would love to debate Herman Cain on 999 because he is being disingenuous in pitching it and I've love to call him on that...but nobody else in the lamestream media has even figured it out yet.

If you're a politician, it's brilliant, because it sounds so simple and fair to the rich and the middle class. It can't be effectively attacked with sound bites, and worse, attacking it with sound bites comes across as a class warfare whine.

Default Cain has no chance to beat Romney

Cain's sole purpose in this race is to positively impact his personal bottom line. He knows that a bigoted party is not going to have him as their nominee, but he certainly can gain attention spouting intense rhetoric that GOP supporters want to hear. He's an early pace-setter, who will drop out later on in the race after his purpose has been served. Cain could have all the answers, but his race is crippling in a party that has nothing but disdain for people who look just like him.

Romney acts is if he's already won. It's quite telling watching this pompous, smug, clueless, fast-talking airhead skip around like some ponytailed Leave It To Beaver schoolgirl who has just been given a lollipop by her favorite school teacher.

I predict that the ticket the Republicans will present to lose to President Obama will be Romney/Bachmann. Perry has been exposed as the ultimate Neanderthal from Texas, just another Bush. The rest are simply props. President Obama will annihilate the very empty Romney in debates. I think Bachmann will take as worse a beating as Palin took at the hands of Biden.

President Obama is here through 2016 folks! Thanks for playing.

Will we still see you around here if Obama loses next year?

He certainly keeps saying things about black people that white conservatives want to hear; they'll pay money to hear or read him say it, and he obviously knows it.

You certainly have a way with words, LOL.

I have to disagree very much here. Romney wants to win, and Romney is smarter than that. He will pick a much better or strategic VP. I don't think he'll try to lure disgruntled conservatives with a red meat Palin ploy. He'll go all business, or a popular no-nonsense-talking pol.
