Did it seem like Pelley was more argumentative and belligerent than a moderator should be?
Can you imagine him ever being that aggressive with Barack Obama?
No, I can't. He started right off cutting Romney's time on a response and by the time Mitt convinced him he was wrong he had lost the whole point he was trying to make. I can see why CBS is struggling now.
Other candidates have zoomed up pretty quickly in the polls and crashed and burned just as fast--maybe Huntsman is starting to hit his stride with this. I'm really disappointed that I missed the debate, because I think he deserves serious consideration. The great thing about Huntsman is that it's not smoke and mirrors--he really is a quality guy. The other candidates have been quick with catchy oneliners, but that's about all they have. Huntsman is substance.
Maybe Huntsman has studied The TOrtoise & the Hare.

Well, for one thing, Barack Obama IS the POTUS and should receive the respect that office deserves (although you'd never know it sometimes). The ones on that stage are all a bunch of wannabes, including one (Cain) who has never even held an elected office.
So, as Herman Cain would say, "apples and oranges."

They wouldn't have treated Obama the candidate in that way. They wouldn't have mismanaged a Democratic debate like this either for that matter.
The part about not trusting Obama to run our healthcare, but trusting him to decide who we should assassinate is pure gold. Even though he only got 5 minutes, he said more than Herman Cain could say in 5 hours.
So based on the responses in this thread, I gather that outside of Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman, none of the other candidates had anything even remotely relevant to the issues at hand and Scott Pelley stole everybody's thunder. Did I get that right?

I am not sure Pelley hosted any of the 2008 presidential debates, but there is no way he would act that way with democrats, or Obama 4 years ago.

I only got to see about 5 minutes of the debate, unfortunately.
Anyone have a strong conviction regarding who did well and who did poorly?
Thanks in advance!
