Driven down by economic forces, President Barack Obama is running poorly in New Hampshire, a state he carried in 2008 and one that has been a swing state in recent presidential elections.

Obama trails Republican Mitt Romney among likely general election voters in the state by 10 percentage points in a hypothetical contest amid voter discontent with the president’s job performance and the economy, according to a Bloomberg News poll conducted Nov. 10-11. Obama carried New Hampshire by 54 percent to 45 percent in 2008.

Independent voters in the state, the site of the nation’s first presidential primary, have swung even more strongly against Obama. Romney would win independents there by 15 percentage points, the poll shows.

Great news for Mitt! Glad to see NH voters get it! Amazed to see that so many still don't get it, but Obama has another year of failure to convince them...

But the teabaggers hate Romney almost as much as they hate Obama.

Dr. Paul beats Obama in New Hampshire, by 18 points. What's the point? Obama's days are numbered no matter which "more conservative" runs against the community organizer and salesman for the Master..

Looks like the good people of New Hampshire hate your failed President much more than they do Romney.

Maybe you'll wake up one day as well.

Doubtful since RP is polling a couple percentage points better than Michelle Bachmann.

Anyway, this thread isn't about Ron Paul. Please take your discussion of him to one of the other 10,000 threads about him littering/polluting the forum.

Votes do not decide elections. Those counting the votes do.

Good for Romney. Now what are the Republicans going to do when he is declared to have lost his home state while half of the country is still voting?

I have to agree that Romney is the most likely to win the General. But the election is not tomorrow. In fact, primary voting has not begun! Two months to post time.

I agree. The South is the roadblock for Romney getting the nomination, and the South will not vote for anyone who believes in man-made global warming or is a gun grabber and Romney is both of those 2. Romney is done, he can't win without the South. I don't pay attention to the polls anymore, let's wait until the real poll starts, and that's the primaries
