"Ron Paul is absolutely, unconditionally unelectable. By that, I mean that Barack Obama would have a genuine shot to beat Ron Paul in all 50 states, including Texas and Utah. If Hillary Clinton ran as a third party candidate, Obama would still probably take more than 40 states against Paul. If Obama DIED with 3 months left in the election and his campaign was suspended, he'd PROBABLY STILL beat Paul by a margin larger than the one he had against McCain in 2008. Now, you may be saying, "How can this be? Paul loves the Constitution! He's fiscally conservative! He raises money! He has dedicated fans! I agree with him on so many things!"
I have a differing opinion. Obama could lose California and Oregon (gasp!). The left coast is chock full of principled crunchy granola people who do not compromise on their civil rights and war. Paul would not have to pander to moderates and wishy washy type voters, because he won't need them. There are Perry and Bachmann fans who will actually work to get Obama re-elected if Romney gets the nomination just to preserve gridlock, after seeing what happened in 2004-2008.
This is a post-2008 economy. Conventional politics don't work like they did in the 90's when times were good.
I have no issue with any of those quotes except #4, which was not even written by Ron Paul. Although I agree that the general public would be easily persuaded if any of these were taken out of context. Sometimes I think Americans deserve 4 more years of the political puppet show-Obama/Romney/GinGrinch.

I think if Obama tried to play Ron Paul that way - you would see the blowback that has been building against such kinds of campaigns. Ron Paul represents more than just his views. He is genuinely a nice guy. He is Mr. Smith who went to Washington. If such a campaign was successfull against him, then there is no hope for us as a country.

Almost every quote is taken based on FACTS!! Giving different solutions without wars and making sure FACTS are considered on all topics. Ron Paul continues to tell people the truth about every topic no matter what the general public has been lead to believe via the media and our government.
I will answer everyone of these topics just as PAUL ALREADY HAS which makes common SENSE!
1. Leaving the republican party.... who was the republican party did we ignore, debt, spending and expand government in the 80's YUP. So while Paul was asking for limited government we found new ways to expand our foreign policy and policies that made no sense. Example PAUL complained if we are fighting communism stop sending foreign aid to Russia and Giving China and money to them and sending our steal to them.
2. Just go look it up the north american union has been in talks with the UN and many public places for YEARS!
3. Saying investigation of 3,000 deaths and knowing government LIES about things is not some out of order. Government lies about so many things Paul is just point out there is probably someone covering up something. That includes what information the government knew and didn't DO ANYTHING!
4. Completed false never said it.
5. Lincoln - Ron Paul said BASED ON HISTORY EVERY OTHER COUNTRY GOT RID OF SLAVERY without a civil war and pointed out how other countries got rid of it and 600,000 men might not have died.
6. Civil Rights act forced people to do things they shouldn't have to do on their own PROPERTY.
Public property is another story... so the civil rights act should have only addressed the problems not force americas to except each other and change minds via laws. By the way the JIM CROW laws are government laws of which not everyone supported of which is why other states didnt have those laws.
7. The terrorists are at fault for 9-11 and before we go and start bombing nations we better understand why they decided to kill themselves and put a target on our backs. AS STARTED BY OUR OWN GOVERNMENT AND THE TERRORIST they dont want us in their countries. They dont want us bombing their countries and this went on even back in the clinton years. If you lived in a country were your leaders were corrupt, supported by America, have no economic livelyhood, only have religion and your mother and kids were killed by an American bomb you might find the need to go do something about it and use religion as the glue to make it happen. Terrorist dont just become terrorist over jealously of someone else having money!! Now if your going to have a discussion on that matter and understand the war on terror it helps to know who are enemny is and not just go to war because a country of people are DEFENDING THEMSELVES. Many Ron Paul should say this... if we have no reason to be in the middle east even BEFORE 9-11 what constitutional freedom is going to just disappear? If we leave them alone and be ready to attack if ATTACKED to have a JUST WAR and take them out and end it quick. NO NATION BUILDING this is the problem of which DO GOODER neocons warhawks thinks makes it ok and like a science project as our nation falls apart. ALSO after all this money and lives lost CHINA will be getting all the oil from IRAQ. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE! Again points the stupid ideas that anyone even knows what is going on in the middle east is a joke!

Taliban is the same people we helped to stop the invading advance of Russia, Taliban doesnt want anyone foreign in their country and their own freedoms, SEE Reagan Freedom Fighters.... appears only when fighting communism.... Get A CLUE!!! Taliban would probably take the devils help to win their independance. Again why are we NATION BUILDING GET BIN LADEN and those responsible and that was the goal of which Paul voted for not this other social changing democracy idealogy to a region that doesn't support it.
9. The CIA and FBI and IRS are not needed. You can have intelligance via the regular military and the FBI does not need to exist to fight crime problem is who is watching the FBI and the CIA. They think they are above the law. As far as the IRS once you get rid of the income tax the IRS goes away.
10. Secure the border with troops he as said over and over a fence is not needed. MOST IMPORTANTLY REMOVE THE WELFARE and that issue goes away!
11. What is so hard to understand that social security and medicare are unconstitutional. Ron Paul has said we should PHASE IT OUT and future generations should not be dependant on government.
IE SEE ITS BROKE!
12. Let states control drugs!!! Just like any other drug etc. What is so hard about that. Ron Paul has never said make drugs legal the federal government should just stay out of it.
Example most states would probably outlaw herion, crack etc and other drugs maybe not EXAMPLE California etc. Doesnt mean once it comes legal everyone runs out and does it. Seriously everyone knows the dangers of drugs legal does not mean its approved!! Anyway its not like every person in this country can't get drugs this system is a joke.
That list that supposedly disqualifies him for President is ridiculous, because many of the things written are just plain true. There's nothing really shocking. Even the quote from the newsletter, which he has disavowed, is really not a game ender. I don't even find them to be as shocking as some pretend them to be. In bad form, politically speaking, yes, but not something to get worked up over.

I love it when people act like terrorists are poor. We gave them millions, if not BILLIONS of dollars AND weapons AND trained them! WE, the United States, gave them a whole boat load of money. They are not poor, they do not hate us because we "prosper".
IF it was because of money, one would think that the terrorists would like us to continue to be a wealthy nation so that they could continue to receive MORE money from us.
They don't care that we are free, they don't care that we prosper, they DO care when we go over there, after giving them everything, and telling them, "Ok, we gave you all of this, now act how we want you to act or we will kill you and your families."
Bin Laden did not attack us because we are free and prosper. He was PISSED because we went in to Saudi Arabia wouldn't leave so that we could fight Iraq. Bin Laden wasn't from Afghanistan or Pakistan. He was born in Saudi Arabia.
His father was a fricken billionaire from a construction company he founded. A BILLIONAIRE. You actually think bin Laden gave a crap that America is/was a wealthy nation? Please.
Bin Laden joined the Afghanistan resistance in 1979...you know, the Afghanistan that the Russians invaded? The US CIA trained those resistance fighters, forked over tons of cash, gave them weapons and helped them get Russia OUT of their country.
When that was over, Bin Laden moved BACK to Saudi Arabia and worked in his father's BILLION DOLLAR construction business.
When Iraq attacked Kuwait and we went over there and planted ourselves in Saudi Arabia, THIS IS WHAT PISSED OFF Bin Laden. He was mad that we, who do not believe in Islam, were there in the "birthplace of Islam". He was also mad at Saudi Arabia for allowing it to happen to the point that Saudi Arabia kicked his ass out. He goes to Sudan.
So now he's ticked off, he's made contacts because of the war in Afghanistan against the Russians, he worked with the veterans of that war, and when he was kicked out, he started working towards making his anger known starting in 1992 when he tried to bomb US soldiers in Yemen and attacking our soldiers in Somalia.
So, Saudia Arabia and the US put pressure on Sudan to do something about Bin Laden and Sudan kicks Bin Laden out of their country, as well.
Well now he's REALLY pissed off. He goes back to Afghanistan. By this time, he's fricken hot under the collar and in 1998, that is when he decides to say all Americans and all Jews, no matter gender, should be annihilated.
In August 7 of 1998, he bombed the embassies in Kenya and Tanzania...the anniversary of when the US put troops in Saudia Arabia to get Iraq out of Kuwait. So we retaliate by sending cruise missiles in to Afghanistan and Sudan. Now it's on.
Seriously, people, SERIOUSLY, it's not because we were sitting around here, minding our own business being free and prospering.
