The Presidential Election gets the lions share of media attention but it's also important to take note of our members of congress up for re-election as well. November 2011 polls show congress approval rating at 9% (Congress' approval rating: How low can it go? - CBS News) . Pretty pathetic huh? Regardless of party do we see a big referendum on congressional incumbents in this upcoming election? Throw all the bums out? Any new fresh faces to take notice? Elected tea party failures from 2010? At 9% clearly the vast majority of Americans Democrat, Independent, and Republican alike are pretty malcontent with our members of congress. What do you think will be their fate in this next election?

Congress has been having lousy numbers for the last few or more election cycles and the majority of incumbents were returned to office. My prediction is the zombies go to the polls and the majority of incumbents are re elected. Oh yeah they will get there little red, white, and blue pins that say " I voted"

So that's it huh? The presidential election steals all the limelight and we need not pay any attention to whom we are electing to congress because most American voters are apathetic? That's sad.

Vote out every incumbent, every time, forever. That's the only way we can break the hold of big money special interests on our government.

To be honest dumping the incumbents will not solve any of the issues. Power & money corrupts people.

The only solution is take power and money away from them, but it won't happen. Who will going to vote themselves to less power?
