Few people knew Santorum other than the "true conservative"...all the ads did was make them realize Santorum is a nut. Then Santorum opened his mouth some. All the ads did was make people realize who Santorum was it would have came out anyways.

Read Freakonomics they discuss a few studies in it.

Gingrich blanketed GA with ads. He outspent everyone there to win his own home state... no different.

The one nice thing about this is that the Maryland primary on April 3rd might actually matter. My GOP vote in Maryland might matter! That would be a switch.
