All I'm going to say is that if there is a candidate running that identifies strongly with the 2002-era big government GOP, they can drop out now -to we dont need them. Particularly the 2002 Mass. GOP, which was exceptionally liberal. And thats what the interviewer asked about, the MA GOP not the national GOP. There weren't many people in national GOP politics as liberal as the Swift administration in MA. Im glad Romney ran against that.

And I'm so sick of being told that I only like Mitt because he has an R next to his name. I like Romney because I've never seen a candidate as well positioned to truly turn this country around in my life. We are at a crossroads. This is the most important election of our lives - not only can we not afford four more years of Obama, we NEED someone who has a proven record of taking a bad fiscal mess and cleaning it up. And not only cleaning it up, but given it the resources to prosper. Mitt Romney is that man. If I only wanted anyone with an R, I've had lots of people I could choose from. But I chose Romney beginning in 2007 and have been with him ever since. Go Mitt!

I do not like Mitt and I'm registered Republican so there goes that theory. I firmly believe he's a Democrat.

Having said that, sorry movingpains, most of the time I agree with you, (and typically laugh at your way with words), but people can change their minds and party affiliations.

I'm doing it after this election. I know you say that we should stay on and fight to get the Republican party back but I'd rather fight to get the right person in office than try to save an entire party from neo-cons.

If you had asked me 10 years ago, hell even 5 years ago if I would ever consider leaving the Republican party, I would have seethed and told you, adamantly NO!

But here it is. I'm choosing Independent. So, it happens. (Not that I believe Romney is a Republican...not a true Republican...a neo con? Sure, but not Republican...but that's because I still have this crazy optimism that somewhere out there is a true Republican running for office...oh wait, there is...but it's not Romney.)

Huntsman dropped out a while ago.

This is Mr. Liberal Cenk Uygur himself, comparing Paul to Obamney. As far as liberal news shows go, you can't get anymore liberal than 'The Young Turks'.

Ron Paul Vs Romney & Obama - YouTube

Even Cenk admits that there is very little difference between Romney and Obama, something which I've been shouting till blue in the face. You could switch Obama to (R) and Romney to (D) and the idiotic voters will be none the wiser.

People who claim they are voting for Romney because he is a "conservative" wouldn't know conservatism if it chased them and bit them on their asses. Gosh, people are stupid.

Nope.

Unfortunately there are a bunch of morons out there who either pretend the flip flopping doesn't exist - or they make excuses for it.

Seriously, there will be the same old Romney defenders who will come here and swear up and down that it's all being blown out of proportion and no one will convince them otherwise.

That is not my vision for a prosperous America.
Damn! Couldn't rep you - but you are right on.

Romney in my opinion is a moderate conservative, Santorum on the other hand, is an ultra-conservative. There is a solution to the Republicans winning over the "conservative" number of voters for the next 2012 election. Simply endorse and financially back Romney as the President and Santorum as the VP, this would in turn appeal to the masess of voters out there who are tired of the lack of free enterprise conservatism our country was founded upon. Many of us have seen how the concept of socialism has reared its ugly head in America for far to long, we have all been witness firsthand to "the changes" that were promised to us, we have all experienced extensive gas prices, increased costs of food and clothing, job losses, tax cuts,out-of-control goverment spending,a reduced American credit rating, tax cuts.......... Obamacare..............etc.........Need I go on? Vote for the principals our nation was founded upon.......we can take America back!!!!!

Cenk is by no means "Mr. Liberal" he brings it guns blazing every show and bashes anyone and everyone that deserves it, left or right. He's bashed the snot out of Obama many times that would make even the furthest right winger blush.

And he's spot on. Obama and Romney are the same center/right republicans. Anyone that thinks supporting Romney is somehow going to change things or that he's any different than Obama is out of their damn mind.
It really goes to show how brainwashed the right is that nothing else at all matters, not their stances, not their history, nothing. As long as that (R) is there, that's all that matters.

Or you could say it's how brainwashed the Dems are. Obama and Romney are the same, so the Dems must be brainwashed for voting for Obama over Romney.

Either that or Obama and Romney are different

Great point. I'm sure it's lost on the Obamalemmings.

If Obama and Romney are the same, why are they so fervently defending the failure in the Oval Office now?
