WASHINGTON -- A conference call organized by President Barack Obama's presidential campaign on Monday to push for higher tax rates for millionaires quickly descended into an attack on Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney for his secretive Swiss bank account, with Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) declaring that no presidential aspirant has ever had such an exotic financial portfolio.
How is paying US taxes on your income, THEN putting your net income in a Swiss bank dodging taxes? It isn't. If you think there's something bad about using Swiss banks on principle, then fine. But it's not tax-dodging. The average American certainly can't relate to it, but they also don't care. You wouldn't know it by the way the Dems talk, but the average American is much more concerned about the issues, and the economy. And that's where Obama falters. This is the stuff swing voters are worried about, not rich candidates or any of that media sensationalism.
Tax dodger? You must be thinking of several members and nominees for the Obama cabinet (e.g., Geithner and Daschle).
The fact that liberals are even bringing this up is just proof of the type of campaign they plan to wage. Those same liberals were absolutely livid when the picture of Obama came out in some garb on his visit to Kenya. Now they are all-too-welcome to level the 'he's an outsider' chargers at another person.

Actually it likely is. Since Swiss banks haven't been (until recently) reporting to the US government, gains made to those accounts have served as secret tax havens.
