The two note that a bad three weeks may just end up being a bad three weeks, and that things may well smooth out for Obama after the campaign gets in motion. Of course, this campaign has been in motion for more than a year. They had prepared the Bain attack since at least last September, when Obama began pushing the Buffett Rule and started demagoguing wealth and the wealthy.

Let's hope the Oblama campaign continues to flounder.

All the enthusiastic throngs from 2008 are now unemployed, desperate, and depressed. I would bet that even the tingle up Chris Matthews leg has worn off.

In 2008, I think that everyone knew they were seeing something special. The problem is that those who understood that an especially incompetent and inept president was coming to the White House were right. Those who thought that Obama would be a "transformational figure" are sorely disappointed and disillusioned at how it all went so wrong.

His Bain attacks go nowhere, thanks in part to all the democrats that have come out to criticize him for his rhetoric.

Republicans are pushing back against the Bain attacks because they are afraid. It is easy for the average non-political voter to make the connections of what Bain did to some companies. Romney just looks and acts like a Wall Streeter. The Republicans are turning up the derp to 11 against the Bain attacks because they know that they could really hurt Romney.

Wrong, most of the attacks I've seen have been Democrats who have been calling the Presidents attacks ridiculous and a sign of his stupidity.

Dude, you're living on a planet far removed from this one.

Yes, it is easy for the average person to understand what Bain did. Bain sought to invest and assist distressed and failing companies, with a resulting mix of successes and failures. The notion that Bain got ahold of well-managed, well-positioned, healthy companies and damaged them might be sold to small children or naive economic illiterates, but not to any average thinking person.

America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. It does not want or need nanny government to reduce our freedoms and induce timidity through dependence. Obama's campaign strategy will result in a deeper and deeper hole for him unless or until he changes his actions and his words.

The failed conservative economic theory and immigrant mob business model used by Mr.steal your pension and load you with debt Romney will be his downfall. Think about how much debt he has put into our national debt by stealing the pension and health funds from the companies he has taken over and dumped. Next we will see that he is against the break up of the large banks and dump more tax dollars into them. Americans are against the corporate welfare he has used.

Exactly right. This is a line of attack that is perfect for an opposition candidate. Imagine a Swift Boat type of campaign using real Americans telling heart wrenching stories of how they lost their jobs, benefits, savings and retirement accounts following a Bain takeover. Juxtapose that against Romney, a tone deaf Wall Street venture capitalist who made millions by plundering their companies, leaving towns and inhabitants crushed beneath debt and shuttered businesses. Given the state of the economy, the chances are high that most voters have either experienced unemployment themselves or know people who are unemployed or under employed. In other words, this resonates with the average voters who watched their savings disappear and the economy tank due to unrestrained greed on Wall Street. And Romney is Wall Street's poster boy.

This story has legs, and it's just begun.
