Republicans are growing increasingly frustrated over President Obama's refusal to sit back and allow them to purchase the election in November. After GOP allied sources pledged hundreds of millions of dollars to defeat Obama in November, Republicans were getting giddy with the idea of purchasing their first Presidential election (especially after their success in buying Congressional seats in the midterms of 2010). However many Republicans are today scratching their heads as Obama is proving more resilient than they thought despite the weak state of the economy. Some Republicans have wondered openly why Obama continue to poll so strongly against their candidate, Mitt Romney. Some cite the intrinsic weakness in Romney as a candidate, but that doesn't explain everything.

Despite having a seemingly unlimited supply of bundled Wall Street money at their disposal, Republican insiders know that money alone may not be sufficient to secure a lease on the White House. There is a certain X factor about Obama that worries them. His political ingenuity, his personal charm, his ability to connect with real people that cannot be quantified or predicted. It is this X factor that throws the Republican equation off balance.

Just as I expected. Republicans are silent. They know what I said is the truth.

So, are you claiming because Obama won last election and raised more money then McCain, that he "purchased the election"?

Quite a stretch on assumptions.
You post at 6:23 and at 6:35 because no one has responded to you yet, you surmise that we think you are right.

Maybe many think you aren't worth the time because of such a ridiculous post. Hmm!

No he won because he had that X factor that I outlined in my post that made him electable. It's that same X factor that will push him over the top this time around.

BTW, the money Obama raised in 08 was overwhelming contributed to his campaign by average Americans. However, the money the GOP is getting is coming from a few rich individuals and corporations. It is in no way tied to popular support for the Republican party. There is a big difference.

Default Meg Whitman effect dooms Pubs

Poor Republicans are bracing for the Meg Whitman-effect. This is where they spend a historically high amount of money trying to sell their crappy ideology to the masses, only to get soundly trounced by the utter superiority that is represented by President Obama.

The Republican ideology does NOT sell itself. It stinks.

Giving addage to the old saying, "selling sh1t in a can". That is exactly what the Republicans are trying to do.

So says the guy who posted a thread based upon a car wash poll that was so far off, that I'm still laughing about it a month later.

Um, Obama is expected to spend near a BILLION, so I guess he's purchasing the election according to your own argument.
