Mitt Romney's Own 2002 Testimony Undermines Bain Departure Claim

When did Staples start outsourcing, you ask?

This is dated May 15, 2000

InformationWeek
Has anyone consider how ineffectual Mittens must be as a "businessman" in his 2/11/1999 departure date is true?

Let me get this straight, Mittens is able to walk away from a multi billion dollar enterprise with their fingers in hundreds of ventures and his "expertise" and/or judgement isn't needed??? Seriously? Just what was he doing for the prior 15 years if he can suddenly walk away and have zero input? How worthless was Mitten's presence at Bain.

Back to reality, of course Mittens spent the day on the phone with his Boston cohorts. He is a "businessman", he is going to want to stay involved and make sure they maximize profits. That's why he couldn't bring himself to take his signature of those papers, he didn't trust others to do the job right and protect his interests.

Fair enough. But then don't claim that you should be president because you know how to create jobs.

That's just false. Since Obama's policies have been in place, there has been years of job growth that followed Bush's years of job losses.

As for businesses flourishing, the stock market has recovered and corporate profits are at record highs. The narrative that businesses aren't hiring is also false. Businesses are hiring back at the same rate as previous recoveries. Where hiring is lagging is in the public sector. In that sense, Reagan was more of a Keynesian than Obama, since Reagan was able to reduce unemployment after taking office in part because he grew government jobs, unlike Obama, who has significantly cut them.

John Boehner House speaker and Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell have thrown the American people under the bus because they want a useless weak candidate like retro-active retiree Bain Vain Willard Mitt Romney to win the 2012 elections. These two idiots Boehner and McConnell and their Republican Tea Party band of gangsters in the House and Senate are trying to destroy the American economy just to prove that a black man or people of colour can’t be good leaders. Oh how hateful, bigoted and cynical those people are.
Everybody knows that the hateful Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell only and ultimate goal, is to bring the American economy to its knees just to prove that a black man can’t be a good president. That is so low; it is lower than the traffic signs and lines painted on the road.
One of the biggest political jokes of the entire 2012 campaign is that Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich spent most of their time during the primaries, saying that Mitt Romney is the worst candidate to go up against President Obama; now those two fools are saying he’s the most qualified? Give me a break. It is no wonder, Willard fake Romney spent so much money, millions to kill those two idiots campaigns.

It does boil down to one or the other above scenarios, doesn't it. Those who wear Romney, solidly tinted rose colored glasses are anxiously waiting for Romney's apologetic dissertation in attempt to reconcile the two.

Yawn.

I’m tired of running against a serial killer who’s demanding we prove we never got a jaywalking ticket. Any chance Obama or any LWNJ will ever discuss a real issue for the rest of the campaign? Not likely.

Is it true that Romney has $100,000,000. (100 million dollars) in an IRA account? I heard this on TV last night and was shocked. I thought the maximum you can deposit in a IRA, in a year, was around $7000 to shelter your IRA from the tax man. Something certainly does not sound correct.

The only way to do that is through manipulation -- in your IRA acct. buy a stock, that you control, at a ridiculously low price. Then, have another company takeover that 1st company at a ridiculously high price, giving Romney a huge tax-free profit in his IRA.
