There is big time talk about this at her 'Pac' and 'Conservatives4Palin' website and I believe it to be true. I worked in her campaign in 08 and I find that this is a high possibility for happening. The reason for this is that she hasn't endorsed Romney at all. The fact is that Romney is losing his base and he can't energize it at all, especially with getting conservatives to come out swinging for him. On the other hand, Palin can. She draws massive crowds and she invokes patriotism and enthusiasm in her speeches that stimulates the GOP, conservative base and independents. The proof is evident during the mid term elections when she endorsed conservative candidates on the campaign trail and went on the attack against Obama in a vicious fashion. She hammered him over shutting rig production down during the BP oil spill and hammered him over 'Death Panels' in his 'Affordable Care Act' law. It resonated with voters and many of her endorsements won. Now this could happen at the convention. Romney is severely wounded and conservatives and hardcore GOP voters are not impressed. Conservative talk show hosts like Mark Levin, Rush, Michael Savage and Sean Hannity are upset with Romney's refusal to go on the offensive against Obama and state he isn't even trying to fight back against Obama's attacks. Palin is fully vetted and is not afraid to attack Obama on any issue. She resonates because she attacks 'crony capitalism' and 'corruption', something she did in Alaska as governor giving her a 90% approval rating. If she does this at the convention like Eisenhower did against wounded favorite Robert Taft at the GOP convention years ago in 1952, she can succeed and has my support. She can take Romney, reenergize the party and beat Obama for the Presidency just like she did in Alaska going up agaist two powerful politicians named Governor Tony Knowles, a incumbent and Governor Frank Murkowski beating them both while being outspent.

I could see it happening, if Romney doesn't get out in front of the recent attack ads on Bain and his tax returns. The big rumors are that Obama has his tax returns obtained from a Mccain staffer in 08 when they were vetted. McCain picked Palin over Romney because of the returns. Just how bad are the returns, if Obama knows that are election over type damaging then we could see this at the convention.

Well if that happened Obama could just donate all his fundraising to other Democrats. There is no way this country would elect Mrs. Palin.

LOL

Sarah Palin's time as a politician is over. She could never get elected to any national office and she would be toxic to any campaign that she is a part of or endorses. The fact that Sarah Palin has not come out in support of Mitt Romney most likely reflects good strategy from the Romney campaign. If Palin endorsed Romney or went on the campaign trail for him, you could kiss the votes of moderates and independents goodbye.

Palin's only future in the Republican Party is to be a paid propagandist on Fox News.

While his past tax returns may not reveal anything illegal, I think there is something there that is not flattering and could potential crush his chances of being president. The fact that Romney refuses to release any earlier then two years says it all. He knows there is something there that will enhance the public perception of him. Its smart for Obama to make an issue out of this because the more Romney refuses, the more the American people will believe he's hiding something. The people will fill in the blanks in their minds what he could be hiding. The key is to plant the seed of doubt in the voters minds and the strategy seems to be working.

Link? Not saying I don't want to believe you, because this would be awesome. I'd just rather see more proof.

I've often considered the possibility that Sarah Palin is a secret stealth-Democrat operative bent on destroying the Republican party from within.

If OP's idea is true, then that will be confirmation.

SHHH! Don't tell them that! Just imagine how much fun an attempted Palin coup at the convention would be. It would be one of the highest rated conventions in years. The potential comedic value alone would be worth millions. Unfortunately, even this completely dysfunctional current incarnation of the Republican party hasn't quite regressed to this level of stupidity yet. Which is a shame...
