Obama is running against a headwind in this election which has never resulted in re-election for any sitting president since FDR. The economic numbers and his support in handling the economy spell defeat in November.

Add it up: The prediction models look dismal for Obama. Can he still win? - Yahoo! News

After the election, all the libs who predict an easy Obama victory will deny ever saying they thought he would win.

And the U.S. hasn't had a recession as bad as the present one since FDR. What is supposed to be a remarkable historical record won't look all that remarkable if Obama wins. The day after the election, the pundits will sagely proclaim "Ah, you see, we always said the Great Recession would change all the usual rules of presidential politics".

Indeed.

Obviously you have nothing to say about the analysis in the article. Greenfield is pretty on point and well-regarded.

It’s often said that a re-election campaign is always about the incumbent; like many political observations, that’s partly, but not wholly, true. Even when the electorate is disposed to replace the President, it has to be satisfied that the challenger is up to the job. Mitt Romney has yet to meet that test.
Greenfield is right; but there is plenty of time for Romney to make the case. If someone with as thin a resume as Obama can win, so can Romney.

Hogwash, and show us some real evidence besides some pundit's "opinion" (such as it is)!

Fortunately the election aint no popularity contest, so meanwhile back in this little thing we like to call "Reality", here are the current electoral projections from the conservative Wall Street Journal. BTW, they give Romney even fewer projected electoral votes now than when he started!

The obamabots are nothing if not humorous. They have NO idea what's heading their way.
