Unfortunately for the GOP's chances, the Romney campaign appears to be turning even farther to the right!

Why not? If something isn't working....just do more of it!

I swear. Peter Griffin must be running his campaign.

The article brings up a good point. Bush was a pretty awful executive, but a good politician. He did seem approachable, he did try to be inclusive, and he did try to bring up issues that mattered to everyday Americans. He was much more appealing than Romney.

Correct. That gets overlooked due to 41s stuffiness, but 43 was the 3rd most politically savvy POTUS of the last 40 years, behind RR and BC, but by far less than he was credited for. Not that it could occur, but head-to-head, he'd have won in a landslide against 41.

Funny that you should mention 41. Romney reminds me of him. Both were tall moderates lacking in charisma. But I think 41 was more steady in his beliefs, and the GOP was not nearly as crazy back then. In retrospect, he was a decent executive. FAR better than shrub, but who wasn't?

Forty one is a decent man with a moral compass and a sense of compassion. Romney...not so much.

That is a totally baseless claim and you know it. George H W Bush is, of course, a wonderful person, but Mitt Romney is one of the most morally decent people, probably to ever run for president. I actually think that his being so decent is one of his liabilities in this day and age in politics and running against the Obama sleaze campaign. You have nothing to base a statement like that on.

Hahaha.....my belly can't stop hurting from laughing. George W. Bush had the charm of the village idiot. Romney has the charm of his wife's horse Rafalca.
