I thought [picking Ryan] was a signal that this guy [Romney] was getting serious, he’s getting bold; it’s not necessarily even a frustration over the way Paul Ryan’s been used but rather in the larger context. I just haven’t seen that kind of passion I know Paul has transferred over to our nominee...They not only need to use [Ryan] out on the trail more effectively, they need to have more of him rub off on Mitt because I think Mitt thinks that way but he’s gotta be able to articulate that
Coming hard on the heels of criticism from Kristol, Noonan, Brooks, Scarborough, Gerson et alia, the defection of Pawlenty, Scott Brown's disavowal, the thinly-disguised contempt from various leaders of the congressional GOP, and even Sarah Palin's slighting remarks, now we have Scott Walker expressing his disappointment in the Romney campaign.
Would it surprise anyone to learn that Mitt is beginning to yearn for the house at La Jolla, pulling up the drawbridge, drawing the curtains, and disconnecting the phone?

I agree with you 100% about Mitt getting battle fatigue, but I don't agree with the the fact that anyone honestly thinks that pushing Ryan out front more will score points. People know what the now infamous Ryan Budget Plan is and they don't like it. Walker is trying to save face for his feloow Tea Potty buddy Ryan. Yes, they are jumping ship.

It should be obvious by now that the Koch brothers wing of the Republican Party never has been interested in a Mitt Romney presidency. They frankly don't care if he wins or loses because they only put up all that money to put Mitt in a position where he'd have to pick the one they REALLY want for President as his running mate.
All that Koch brothers cash isn't about 2012 at all. It's about 2016 and Paul Ryan. That's why they're now pressuring Mitt to put Ryan out front.

Duh! I should've seen that sooner!
I must be gettin' old.
Ryan has been looked upon as a rising star (?)
From the OP...
Quote:
Said Yuval Levin, a conservative thinker and close friend of Ryan, who was booed while defending his Medicare plan at the AARP conference on Friday: “The appeal of Ryan was twofold: He’s one of the most effective critics of President [Barack] Obama and he’s one of the most effective policy entrepreneurs in the party.
Don't they get that Ryan's Ayn Rand philosophies are not being well received? They are whacko!

Oh oh, that means the Kochs are disappointed too. Walker does nothing without instructions from them.

My God! You believe your own jokes!
This is the classic case of looking outside your bedroom window at the moon, dreaming up a fairy tale, and next morning, you actually believe it happened!

Yep, it'll be worth watching where Crossroads, Restore Our Future and the other Koch Bros front operations spend their money in the next few weeks. If they begin to spend on downticket races, we'll know what's on the Kochs' minds.
