And some of the more fanatic ones, unable to accept the reality of what they are seeing, are even venturing into mindreading and clairvoyance rather than consider the possibility that America is rejecting them.
Just about every republican I know, didn't plan on supporting Romney. They wanted Santorum, Perry or Ron Paul, not Romney. I don't believe they like Romney but instead its either these two options why they continue to support him:
A.) They don't like Obama.
B.) They believe he could do a better job than Obama.
And maybe even a C.) which is both A. & B.
I'm not a huge Obama supporter, but I don't like Romney, so that's why I voted Obama. So just imagine what I said as the opposite "I'm not a huge Romney supporter, but I don't like Obama, so that's why I voted Romney" and that's why they are partially energized by Romney.
