First off, there is nothing remotely "liberal" about any of those positions.
I'm not suggesting that he doesn't deserve to be voted out of office. What I'm suggesting is that the current tone of Republicanism in SC is likely to nominate someone far more authoritarian than Graham. The idea that you're going to get a libertarian out of SC on the ticket is laughable. What you'll get a laissee-faire markets, social authoritarian.
Nancy Mace and the other one looking at running are both Liberty Republicans. Won't get someone more authoritarian...maybe not liberal but Graham is no traditional conservative...Mace is well known as the first woman to graduate from The Citadel. She has the backing of many of Rand Paul supporters...Its Grahams time to go. Would be great if they could knock out Graham,McCain and Alexander in Tn.

The Republican party is for small government, but how many R. Pres have had 2 Republican houses? Add to that, the pres often goes in and has to try and fix what was broken the administration before. You know kinda like you all said Obama had to fix everything Bush left undone? Does this only work on one side?
I would not call Graham a liberal but a establishment war mongering {R} and a good portion of those that lean right are sick of them. Knowing our luck there were be too many challengers and they will split the anti Graham vote and the douche will survive the primary and be re elected.

Please replace Graham with a freshman ideologue. South Carolina will lose all the clout it had thanks to his committee assignments. When spending cuts start hitting harder and harder thanks to sequestration, South Carolina will be first in line for the brunt of cuts. Then the Junior Senator will have to face his constituents when they face the reality of their decisions.
I'm close with people that staffed his first campaign. You can accuse him of being a lot of things, but liberal is definitely not one of them. He's a RINO only in the sense that what constitutes a "true Republican" these days has moved into crazy-far-right territory. Graham is far closer to being a historical Republican than the ideologues likely to primary him.
You must have missed his drama queen act when the previous immigration bill went down in flames. He was worse than that kid in the YouTube video wailing about Britney Spears.
