How could Davis' kids been that old when she went off to Harvard Law School for three years?
Her first daughter was born in 1982, and her second daughter was born in 1988. Davis moved to MA to attend Harvard in 1990. That would make her daughters 8 and 2 years of age. She was gone for three years. THREE YEARS. As a mother, this is unfathomable to me.
She was also financially supported by Jeff Davis while she was at both TCU and Harvard. She didn't even have a part time job during those years! As soon as her education was paid for (and her kids had been raised by someone else during that time - at no cost to her), she divorced him.
No great loss to him - I'm sure he figured in her case it definitely wasn't cheaper to keep her. By the way, he had also adopted her first daughter, which was from her first marriage, at age 18.
One thing she sure does well is shift her responsibilities off on other people. I guess she would call this "delegating."
