I didn't know there were any minimum wage measures in any state. This is definitely good news. Seems people aren't happy about the current minimum wage in those states. They must have been set too low for today's standards.

Like the War on Women, the Danger of Global Warming, Danger of Keystone Pipeline, Party of No, and Rich People Not Paying taxes, the Republican Opposition to Fair wage is a pure fabrication of the Democratic Party.

Fact is, 70% of the people believe the minimum wage should be raised, and it is an easy policy to justify.

Surprise!.. Republicans are not all greedy white people.

Where have you been on this board? The Real Americansâ„¢ all think there shouldn't be a minimum wage at all! But even Gallup says a majority of Republicans (albeit a slim majority) believe the minimum wage should go up. It's only those that habitually listen to talk radio believe it shouldn't

See, more can get passed at the city and state level.

Forget waiting on Congress to help anyone out.

Let the people decide with their votes and wallets.

I believe the minimum wage should be increased in any city or state where the voters choose to do so. I do not think the federal government should make a sweeping mandate.

not really true: you are taking many people's comments out of context. yes, there are some who think there should never have been a min wage, but most of us have accepted it is here to stay and we understand to stay competitive with say, our neighboring states we have to have one. I too voted to increase it here in AR. It was way to low, compared to other states in our region. What we do not need is national min wage nor a min wage that is so high it will raise the cost of everything, defeating the purpose.

It's no surprise that people would rather use the government to force their employer to pay them more, rather than work hard to acquire a skill set that would increase their earning potential. People want to be paid the maximum amount of wages, while doing the minimum amount of work.

Ignorance and laziness transcends party lines.

Great, now all our fast food jobs will be exported overseas too. I'll have to order my pizza from the Dominican Republic.
