So we all know that Rendell got his a$$ handed to him. But I just learned right now, thanks to a CD post, that the GOP presence in the PA legislature increased by 8 in the assembly and 3 in the senate. Not as blue as it seems.

The new PA assembly will be 119-84 GOP.

This was a weird election to observe, I am a PA native, and most of my family still live there. Having tearful family elders on the phone with me lamenting that I am a republican armed with campaign flyers from the Allegheny County Dem Party stating they were the only choice in 2014 to keep Pot and gay marriage illegal in PA. Wanting to know why I was one of the evil Republicans on favor of legalizing pot and gay marriage.

Fortunately Wolf came out in favor of legalizing pot a few days before the election making the Pittsburgh Dems into liars.

Pittsburgh right now seems to be 60% Catholic, 70% anti gay marriage 90% anti legalization of pot and 70% democrat. I am waiting to see how that resolves itself.
