I don't want to debate the merits of Fair Tax since there is a thread about it already. Personally, I don't like Huckabee because of his stance on immigration and wanting more socialized programs. I want to know who here thinks he is really, really serious about Fair Tax. Is he using it as propaganda for his campaign or is he really going to abolish the IRS? Especially those who support him since you follow more than anyone else. And also what evidence do you have that he even has a plan to make the Fair Tax into law?

He may be serious about wanting it, but will he be able to implement it? Highly highly doubt it. Now Ron Paul on the other hand? That's a different story.

So you are saying that he is using it as propaganda then? I promise world peace except I can't deliver it.. so I'll just use it as propaganda? If so, that is very disappointing about Huckabee..

I don't think RP could eliminate the IRS either.. and it's well known who I support!

I don't think the Congress is going to bite the hand that feeds them, and I believe the tax code allows them to write loopholes for lobbys and constituients which allows them quite a bit of power. Why would they give that up willingly? I'd expect it to be passed hand in hand with an amendment that changes our voting system to one that doesn't favor a two party system.

He acts serious about it but in reality he has no chance of it getting passed thankfully.
