Obama AG nominee Loretta Lynch quietly dropped $450,000 civil forfeiture case a week before hearings

I've already checked to see if my Senator voted for her. He didn't, thank goodness. You have to be a criminal to be elected to Obamas cabinet, it seems.

I don't know how much of a 'cave' this really is. Barack Obama was elected President and as such he gets to decide whom he wants in his cabinet, and by all accounts she is qualified for the job. Sure it is troubling that she apparently is a believer in the unconstitutional 'imperial presidency' model, but then Obama believes in it, and he did win the election. She will be there for less than two years and will be able to do only limited damage.

If Senate Republicans had put up a fight they would have been labeled as racists, and the unwashed masses, knowing nothing about the US Constitution would have believed it. And that is the last thing the GOP needs heading into 2016. Obama won in 2008 and 2012 largely on the 'call them racists' gambit. McConnell as usual made the right call.

"If Senate Republicans had put up a fight they would have been labeled as racists," I think your wrong on this! I think the Republicans should put up more of a fight! After all looking at the Duke Lacross case, the Florida 'Stand your ground case', the Ferguson case, the Rolling Stone Fake Rape Claim case along with the REALLY exagerated college "rape" cases, the Bengahzi (SP?) case, the Fast & Furious gun running case, etc! I think the Conservatives are waiting to EXPLODE with support for a strong conservative push! Its late, I'm tired more later!

You have to win the White House to enjoy the right to appoint cabinet officers to serve in your administration. I think you will be a lot more tired in the next few years.

Correct, wututiz. Refreshing to see a sane conserve on this board. One who understands the GOP messaging mistakes of the past.
