He clearly doesn't stand a chance...how long do you think he'll hold out? Just til Feb 5?
I was hoping until he won the presidency. But he doesn't have a chance with the Republicans pushing Clinton since she's the one they think they can beat.
I think Edwards would like to be Obama's running mate, so I don't particularly see him pulling out anytime soon. As long as his being in the race hurts Clinton but doesn't hurt Obama, I think Edwards will stay in.

He might want to be Hillary's running mate too although she will be under alot of pressure to choose a black (maybe Obama) when she gets the nomination.

So why was Karl Rove coaching Obama in the press on how to beat Clinton? I think Republicans fear Hillary even more than the bashers on this board.
Huge shame that Edwards has been trailing behind because I think out of the three of them, he's most sincere and perhaps even able to be president.
Edwards has a good message. The problem with Edwards is his own persona. He always appears angry and fretful. He has all kinds of reasons to be angry about the plight of the poor and the way that this republican administration handled Katrina, tax cuts for the rich, etc., but you have to intersperse the anger with a little humor. Both Clinton and Obama have learned to do this, Clinton more recently.
Edwards is still in the race because he honestly still believes he can win the nomination as long as he keeps collecting delegates long enough for the other two candidates to destroy eachother. That might happen, but not likely.
Edwards is a classic populist flim-flam man with no understanding of economics, making him pretty much just like Huckabee in all the ways that matter.
He'll leave if he doesn't win SC, his birth state.
