His change of mind forced McConnell to go hunting for votes with the Democrats who placed some demands on him for their support. Once again, Cruz just played into the hands of the Dems. He really doesn't have a lot of political sense.

The Obama admin lied to all of them by telling them it wouldn't help immigration. Cruz was one of the few smart ones who actually read it, and saw that they lied (of course ) and that's why he changed his vote.

How much was your senator paid to vote for fast trade ?

Most likely just for political posturing, because he knew it would still pass.

So much for the idea that a bunch of Republicans would be against it. Most of them will get re-elected because their voters don't pay attention and don't care.

And with TTIP up next....before you know it, we'll all be marching to someone else' tune. God be with the days when you could just shoot those furriners and be done with it.

I contacted Rob Portman by email on his website to ask him to vote against TPA, but as I knew he would he voted for it. Sent another email then chastising him.

You can't trust any of them. Even a lot of the ones voting against it are doing so because they know it'll hurt them with voters back home. But if their vote was needed to get it passed they'd change their position. That's why I'm confident the finished product, TPP, when it's completed will pass both the House and Senate.

Can't tell you how angry I get when I think of how our corrupt lawmakers are selling us down the river and handing over part of our sovereignty to an international commission.

It's just one thing after another. The country's changing in many ways quickly, ways that are destroying this country as we know or knew it.

If anyone doesn't believe we need a new third party they aren't paying attention or don't understand the danger we are facing on many fronts.

Why are right wing posters so stunned that fiscal conservatives support free trade agreements? Free trade is bedrock principle of fiscal conservatism.
