A CNBC economic advisor said that CNBC will not make the mistakes made by CNN and FOX at the debate they will sponsor later in the month. They intend to ask questions to get precise policies and plans to grow the economy, fight terrorism, immigration, etc. They will not be pitting one candidate against another or planned direct questions toward certain candidates. This is a refreshing approach as it is time to address the issues and stop slinging mud at Trump and others.
I would like to hear the same question asked to ALL of the participants....not just two or three.....
Yeah that's the problem I have with debates... every candidate should get to answer the same question, so it's a level playing field instead of a luck of the draw.
It makes no sense that XYZ gets asked, "How would you grow the economy" and then ABC gets asked, "You've been called a liar, what do you have to say"
We are Clinton all the way to the White House. That said we watch the GOP closely. We are concerned that a new NBC/WSJ poll shows Rubio tied for 3rd with Fiorina. The next debate we hope someone can be successful against the rising Rubio. He's a major threat.
CNBC does not need to ask questions like the other debate moderators asked. No need to ask Trump why he said this or that. They say they are going to stick to the issues, not whether someone insulted Fiorina's appearance or said Obama is the worst president ever, etc. The answers to those questions are old and the real issues facing the country need to be emphasized and CNBC plans to do that. Of course the next 2-3 ready to drop out will attack because it is all they have to do. Such as Rand Paul, L. Graham and Santorum who hangs on. I guess most will wait until after Iowa and NH. They expect Trump and Carson to drift lower by them.
If they would only ask the candidates if they have ever negotiated any deals/treaties with foreign entities successfully, we can separate the talkers from the do-ers.
If they would only ask the candidates to talk about any crisis they handled, we can separate the talkers from the do-ers.
If they would only ask the candidates what is the biggest decision that they made and implemented, we can separate the talkers from the do-ers.
If they would only ask the candidates, "Tell us one big thing that you improved in any of the jobs you've held, we can separate the talkers from the do-ers.
I suspect that if debate moderators asked accomplishment questions like the 4 above, the two business people and the governors would be at the top and two governors wouldn't have been the campaign dropouts. Instead, debate questions reward the people who speak well but have shallow resumes. That's how we got Obama in 2008 but frankly, McCain was a talker, too, just not an eloquent one.
Get back to me about debates when they are about accomplishments rather than promises.

We all would, but as long as there are so many running and some are hell bent to distroy each other we are going to have more name calling and fighting than honest answers from each candidate.. The debates have been this way for years.
Fox and CNN got the Lion's share. No ones going to give a crap about this debate.
