Rubio would be a disaster.

Another pretty, wet-behind-the-ears kid like Obama -- just a Republican version.

Trades off his being Latino. Just like Obama trades off being black.

First black president, first Latino president, first woman president.

What do these superficial considerations have to do with anything?

Everything he says is a memorized talking point. He's like a walking teleprompter. And he couldn't be more phony. The first thing he tried to do in Washington was pass amnesty for illegals. Calling it "comprehensive immigration reform." Now he says that was a "mistake."

Well, then why did you do it in the first place, Marco? Or do you always act before you think? It couldn't have been because you're Latino, could it?

So far he's gotten nothing but soft-ball questions.

The liberals love him.

I don't understand why you keep bringing Barack Obama into the mix here when talking about the GOP.

This is kind of interesting: https://www.opencongress.org/people/...91_Marco_Rubio

Anyone soft on illegals will not get my vote.

I think the majority posting feel that Obama is a "fail" so using him as a "measuring" stick makes just about anyone look good!

As far as missing votes, this has been done by presidential candidates for many decades now. It is a phenomenon that may deserve its own thread, but it is certainly not a phenomenon that is new or particularly novel as it applies to Marco Rubio.
Rubio's voting history is disturbing. He's continued to collect his paycheck, but has been slacking off for the past 4 years.

73 Votes in 2011 .....55 Votes in 2012 .....45 Votes in 2013.....25 Votes in 2014 .....4 Votes in 2015

If this were any job in the private sector, he would have been fired for decreased productivity and excessive absenteeism.

Well said.

We should only be comparing Rubio to the other Republican candidates.

Once the name gets out there as doing well, people take a good long hard look at the candidate and, down they go, well, except in Trump's case. Trump 2016!

Frankly, what I noticed about Rubio in the debates was that he was as "nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs". I would say he is probably an overachiever and, like I said, could be a viable candidate on down the road.
If you're for amnesty he's the go to guy if you decide Bush won't win.

Amnesty? Definitely not. Any candidate mentioning anything other than deportation and enforcement gets red-lined! Bush lost before he started but that doesn't mean they wouldn't run him.

Wet behind the ears???? Marco Rubio was the Speaker of the House in Florida before being elected US Senator.

Anyone who does not do their job at a lower level does not deserve to be elevated to a higher one.
Not only that, why are these senators and governors allowed to run for presidency while holding their regular job? What does it tell you if you have this much free time. It must not be a serious job. It is only Trump who is talking about it.

John McCain suspended his campaign once to "go back to Washington" to deal with an issue and look how that turned out. Instead of a war hero as President, we got an undocumented community organizer.
