Ahh. So you cherry pick a particular election, while ignoring others, then use it to confirm theory about the future along with peppering the analytics with opinion. Good luck with that but if you were to present this as an analysis in a business, I'd say you would soon be looking for the unemployment website.

Some people are apparently impressed that Trump spoke to a crowd in a Jacksonville shopping center.

It is NOT a sports stadium. It is a shopping center.

BIG EFFEN DEAL.

Many of these people came out of curiosity I'm sure. Does anyone think all these people made campaign donations? Are they Trump volunteer poll workers? Nah, they are curious shoppers who came out to see a TV celebrity.

Guess what? I'll wager Lady Gaga would get a bigger turn out.

who in this thread said that?

i estimated the crowd between 2,500-3,500 and another poster, who has been to the mall, estimated it at 2,000. both those estimates qualify as "1,000s of people" ( technically all it takes is 1,001 or higher ).

i offered to contact the mall directly to get an official capacity, you seem to have ignored that offer.

it doesn't matter, that Bernie Sanders is better....
it does when you perpetually make the false claim that no other candidate can attract a crowd the size of trump's.

Yet, I stand by what I've said. At this time no other candidate can fill venues like this.
"at this time" being after sanders last large rally ( tucson oct 9. 11,000-12,000 ) and before his next large rally ( as yet unscheduled ).

Not who you were talking to, but I was listening to NPR and one of their analysts said that Jeb has a 300 year WASP problem. So I am assuming there is something wrong with white people.

I wonder if Hillary has a 300 year WASP problem?

Technically Jeb is not a WASP (he is Catholic) - not that it matters when NPR plays the race card.

Okay, I have to comment on this. The fact that Bernie drew 20,000 people to a rally in Boston should come as no surprise to anyone. Boston and Cambridge are filled with college students and left leaning faculty. Many from both groups were involved with Occupy Wall Street.

It's understandable that naive, uninformed college students would be drawn to Bernie and his promises of free college for all. Heck, when I was that age, I would have fallen for that claptrap.

Faculty members live in places like Cambridge or the more exclusive suburbs. They don't see what life is like outside their own bubble which consists of neighborhoods where no illegal aliens are to be found and academia where they are surrounded by like-minded colleagues.

So, the fact that Bernie drew 20,000 people to his rally in Boston, is not impressive. When he draws that many people in a rally that occurs in a red state, let us know.

^Bernie can only draw 200 or so there now. They know he won't be nominated.

And you didn't? This isn't 2000, the odds are against the Republicans and their Golden Birther Boy, Trump.

Not sure what my employment status has to do with anything, but I am happily employed and doing just fine, thank you.

Lady Gaga isn't running for President and you miss the point entirely.

That point is that Trump is the only real candidate now that can fill these venues. It's a big deal because it's a real indication of his ground level support vs the others.

i never laid judgement over whether the number was impressive or not, i cited it to contradict waldokitty's claim that no other candidate can draw the same size crowds as trump.

would 11,000 in AZ ( oct 9, 2015 ) work for you?
