9 Places To Move If Donald Trump Becomes President | The Odyssey

Many progressive Americans are realizing that life is too short to live in a nation that fails to embrace progress, change and advancement into the developed world. Due to conservative policies and conservative culture (god, guns, religion, hating LGBT people, etc.), we feel that America is a backwards, racist nation in which many people are anti-intellectualism and anti-political correctness, unfortunately. I am certainly one of those who are becoming increasingly disenchanted with my country and government. Fortunately, there are many other nations around the world to choose from, in case Trump becomes president.

Personally, I would choose Canada because it's beautiful and it's within driving distance to my family in northern Connecticut. How about you?

It's very difficult to move to Canada unless you're married to a Canadian, have immediate family there, or if you have years of experience in a super specific field like petroleum engineer.

When you set aside the bombast and the inflammatory rhetoric, what about Trump's positions bother you? In what way do you think a Trudeau-led Canada would be an improvement?

Trump wants a massive tax cut for the wealthy.
Trump wants to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants.
Trump wants to ban an entire religion from entering the country.
Trump is anti-political correctness.

These things bother me and we cannot afford to see his policies come to fruition. He's an extremist and he says NOTHING during his rallies other than we're gonna have victories and make America great again. It's a total JOKE!

it's only fitting Somalia be on the list, since it's the go to country many big govt types wish to banish folks to who disagree with their version of a state run utopia.

I'm staying put! I will be swooping in and picking up a few investment properties from government drones that quit or lose their jobs. The entire federal government workforce should take a minimum 15% haircut. Another 10% can be eliminated by attrition.

I am looking forward to Trump sending teams to look into welfare and SSI fraud. No more hiding slackers on government payrolls to lower the unemployment rate.

If people feel like they need to move because Trump becomes President, then I say...

Good Riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

USA Will be much better off.
