If any state could do it, it would be CA. We have the 6th best GDP in the world (better than most countries) the best GSP ($2.3 trillion) in the country, tons of oil, tons of agriculture, Silicon Valley and most of the goods brought into this country come into our ports. What do we need the rest of the country for exactly?

They tried secession about 150 years ago. It didn't really work out.
Probably won't work out any better now.

Sanity? And I say that as a recent transplant (voluntarily) to CA. How can such a gorgeous state be run by such incompetent progressive loons. If only CA was run by constitutionally grounded conservatives...but that is just a utopian dream that can never be.
