Interesting ugh it's so tough. If Trump wasn't a Ahole to the environment he get my vote. I like him tenfold on most issues over Hillary. This one is huge.

And he will do away with Nafta!

And everyone will say Merry Christmas! Believe me.

And he will build that wall!

And he will ban all Muslims! Except the rich ones.

Sounds good to me! Except, instead of banning all muslims, I would prefer just making sure everyone is properly vetted before we allow them to come in. I think that is what Mr. Trump stated. Anyway, again, sounds good!!

This piece is an opinion piece by Betsy McCaughey, who has been a paid critic of the ACA since it was just a bill in Congress. She has no credibility.

McCaughey is on record of criticized the the American Cancer Society, who dedicated $15 million to a public awareness campaign on inadequate access to healthcare for the 47 million Americans not covered by insurance based on studies that shown that patients without insurance were more than twice as likely to have their cancer diagnosed in the late stages of the disease.

McCaughey was one of the first to false claim that the ACA contained a provision about "death panels." She resigned from her position as an anti-ACA lobbyist after she was taken down by Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, who produced a copy of the ACA bill and asked her, "where in bill does it have death panels?"

On this topic of Medicare this article in the Washington Post shows how $716 billion was taken out of Medicare for the ACA. The Affordable Care Act rolls back payment rates for hospitals and insurers. It does not, however, change the basket of benefits that patients have access to. And, as Ezra Klein pointed out, the Ryan budget would keep these cuts in place.

McCaughey is completely lying when she says this hurts seniors. This is what AARP said: "The first thing to know is that the law has language protecting guaranteed benefits: "Nothing in this act shall result in a reduction of guaranteed benefits" under Medicare."

If you believe the OP's link, you are being conned.

I would remind everyone that the Medicare Cuts AND the Federal takeover of Student Loans FUNDS ObanaCare. It hurts the Kiddos & the Seniors.

no offense, but you realize the biggest catalysts and drivers of cutting spending across the board has been congress. Congress writes and makes the laws.

No, it doesn't and if you are going to "remind" people, remind them of facts not falsehoods. The takeover of student loans was because previously the banks would issue the loans, and if the student repaid the loans, the bank earned the interest. If the student defaulted on the loan, the bank sent the bill to the federal government. This was looked on as heads the banks win, tales the government loses.

Now, the federal government assumes the risk of bad loans and earns the interest on good loans, like it should be. This saved taxpayers $50 billion. Thanks Obama.
