So your point is meaningless. The rest of American doesn't look at their race first. They have much more important things to worry about.
Oh, and FYI, that one group that "mindlessly votes for one party"? You could just come out and say African-American. I doubt anyone here is under any delusion that you see all people equally.

I can assure you that the "mindless" are voting for that one party because many of them know that most of the people who think like you are on the opposing side.

Dear. It's not about me, but I'm a Democrat. Except that I'm not so deluded by partisan dogma that I will vote for the very crooked Hillary Clinton just because the DNC has rigged it for her to win. You should take lesson from this.

1980 - Reaganism/New Democrat

That era will no doubt end in 2016 and will be replaced by something else. Hillary Clinton his the last gasping vestige of it.

You just called 13% of the population that you know absolutely nothing about, "mindless". The only thing I've learned from you in my time on this forum, is how not to be.

But good luck to you.

For people who see their race absolutely before seeing anything else, then I can understand how what I said could be taken that way. But I didn't raise the issue of skin affecting voting choice.

All I did is point out the reality if such a thing was true.

Not even close. Tip O'Neil pushed though more legislation in a comparative time frame. Hell, Nancy Pelosi and Dennis Hastert did as well.

Trump still has time to blow it - he apparently interviewed Sen Corker today for the VP position. Sen Corker is an average GOP senator - who has +/-s when perusing his history...but outside of the southeast, I doubt people know who he is. He should select someone with name recognition, along with a solid political background - such as SOTH Gingrich.

Tip O'Neill was the last gasp of the previous era. Ronald Reagan whipped him endlessly on the bully pulpit to get his agenda passed through the Democrat congress. O'Neil didn't know what hit him and his failure was the end of the true Liberal/Working Class Democrat era. They were replaced by Bill Clinton's New Democrats.

Tip O'Neill was parodied in this famous 1980 campaign advert. (at the time there were huge gas shortages)
