Your mistake is thinking that on social media "followers" = "supporters". Not so.

I'm a Hillary supporter who follows Trump and Sanders feeds on FB and Twitter. Trump especially is known to be a "colorful" Tweeter so everyone I know - incl. Bernie and Hillary supporters as well as those who haven't yet decided - follow him.
In contrast, Bernie's tweets are even more boring than Hillary's but I don't want to miss anything so I follow them both.

The numbers you posted don't really mean anything in terms of how voting will go.

I don't think it's reflective at all as many of his followers could be international as well as under 18 (those who follow politics). I know he doesn't want to spend a lot of money campaigning, but I hope he realizes the global platforms he is using.

A lot of people follow Trump because he amuses them.

Based on OP's formula, I conclude that Barack Obama has an 800% chance of beating Mr. Trump if he ran for the third term but for the 22nd Amendment. Is that how this works?

Trump supporters have many indications of The Donald prevailing in November; Facebook, Twitter, (inflated) rally attendance, lawn signs/bumper stickers (not making that one up), etc. Except one: the number of popular votes cast in the primaries -- Hillary has 2.5 million more votes than Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump's supporters probably see his face on a piece of toast and conclude that he'd win.

I follow The Donald to see what kind of wacky stuff he says next, but I have no intention of voting for him. I know many people are in the same shoes.
