With each new speech, the reactionary debates that ensue reflect widening gaps between the parties. Left and Right are pulling away from each other. Can any one president fix that? Or will a third party become more viable because people want to jump ship from either of the two biggies and try something new. Hillary vs. Trump - regardless of the outcome this will be new.

I was just a child in the world of JFK and MLK. Major civil unrest with MLK. Currently there is a lot of hatred when talking this election. Hate for both candidates. Hate for both parties. Crying for something new, but have no idea how to define new in this context. Not going overboard here, but feels like a certain level of civil unrest to me.

I don't know what the alternative would be for you. But the only moral alternative to the evil "left" and "right" in this country is a group that rejects all aggression by government upon the individual and actually expands human freedom instead of always destroying human freedom and attacking the individual. Go libertarians

Donald Trump is going to make money, regardless who is President. He adapts to the rules well and learns from his mistakes, because he cannot afford to repeat them over and over expecting different results. He isn't playing with other peoples money.

"Europe is a tapestry that is dense, colorful and deserving of continued longevity and prosperity. There are many pieces that must be carefully fitted together in order to thrive."

These are the words from one of Donald's 2013 speeches in which he praised the notion of 'togetherness" as a prime ingredient in the ability of guys like him to further exploit the labor of the world's workforce. Has is a fan of global finance and trade as a vehicle to greater wealth, he is no different from the other billionaires who have courted the ignorant and exploited their anger for their own interests. The sorry truth is that we have finally exhausted ALL avenues of political hope when considering our presidential candidates as an answer to anything more than their selfish ambition and greed.

Good lord, to see the numskull Hilary for the ambitious greedy pol she is while bowing to a guy like Trump is cause for concern for one's mental state, I wish people could learn to think for themselves in stead of seeing "their candidate" as some kind of savior..They're all bad..

I would prefer a countervailing tariff that negates the price advantage created by slave wages, lax environmental standards and government subsidy and currency manipulation. Then the goods would compete on their actual usefulness and not just on falsely low prices. One result would be vastly increased manufacturing in the US resulting in a much improved economy. The vast reduction in unemployment and welfare would support the higher prices.

Fair, not free trade is what built this nation, kept it strong and employed to keep a revenue flow to the government in check and allowed our workforce and work places to be the safest on the planet, with regulations that are paid for with taxes earned working.

Adapting and playing in the sand box the ruling BOSSES set up for us, is how business works. If we don't play by their rules, we are no longer in business. Donald trying to make the most with the rules he is to play by.

How can he really be blamed, if we know how business works.
Those working the trenches as employees, never understand what it takes to give them a job to be employed. They never understand that if it is not making enough to keep the doors open, they don't have a right to a job. The business is only as good as the employees it hires, even in the best location.

Just because a thief knows the "rules" does not make him a good citizen instead of a very smart thief. Corruption is corruption even if it is legal. Some of The Donald's past actions were not legal. All of his bankruptcies were outright fraud.

The Trumpeters should be very careful as they may just get exactly what they are wishing for. I do not understand the attraction for an irrational bully. Maybe because I had to discourage so many as a kid.

If it wasn't legal, Donald would be in jail.

He should be but he bribes AGs so they won't prosecute him. (See Bondi in Florida)
