from a legal point of view i think it will all depend on if the plaintiff can show that there was a "meeting of the minds" with the campaign, most likely thru emails. if all the agreements took place over the phone then i think dad and the girls are SOL.

that being said....... from a PR point of view i think it's absolutely ridiculous that trump's campaign let this go till it became a court case. they are now forced to be on the offensive against the image of three little girls in patriotic costumes. it also adds credibility to trump's critics that claim he is incapable of putting together a competent political staff and/or that he has no problem screwing-over small business.

Hmm.

Here is an article about Popick and the USA Freedom Kids from Time Magazine last January:

Donald Trump

In April, Popick (I wonder what his nickname was in school?) spoke of how he wanted to raise money to pay the way for those celebrities that threatened to leave the country if Trump were elected:

USA Freedom Kids want to raise $1m for anti-Trump celebs | Fusion

His goal was to raise One Million Dollars. As of the date of the article, Mr. Popick reports having raised Sixty Dollars.

Does he have a basis for the lawsuit? Perhaps. But the father strikes me as a bit creepy. What would have he done with the money raised (from Go Fund Me account), if none of the celebrities he cited actually did not leave the country? Hmmmmmmmmmm? (as Rush would say).

Sounds more like he is trying to get another 15 minutes of fame.
