He ran billions of dollars into the ground and screwed a bunch of people over in the process..
And you who took your home to foreclosure and declared bankruptcy screwed investors who bought your notes. Oh, remember GM bond holders who had their entire retirement fund wrapped up in them? None other than Obama screwed them over.
This is way beyond small time real estate investing and you know it.
The point is they're all LEGAL deductions that anyone can take. His are just on a larger scale So far there's not one single person here who can show that anything he's done is illegal! You're just hell bent he's not paying taxes using LEGAL deductions where you all are doing the same every year but on a smaller scale. Geeze!

He is under IRS audit is he not? If he did something illegal it will come out in the audit. If he didn't then he played the game according to the rules. A business is not going to go out of it's way to pay any more that it has to by law.
If Trump pays 0 taxes and the IRS auidit says it's legal year after year, then he's right, it's being smart. I could care less what his tax returns say, if the irs says it's legal.
Aren't we all part of the "system" if you're using a tax deduction then?

How many middle-class homeowners used their deductions to avoid paying any taxes at all for 18 years, while living the high life?
From the NYT article: (Mitnick was Trump's accountant):
The CPA is the one that prepared the return. All Trump did was sign the 2nd page! The CPA signed the document as the tax preparer and would be in serious trouble if he knowingly did anything illegal. The CPA is the one who organized the return in a way to show a major loss. Any unethical moves are his fault and he himself can get in serious trouble for doing things that are not within the legal confines.
^^^ And this is why people in this country are struggling. They think they know it all but don't know anything and are misled by people with an agenda and that agenda doesn't benefit you.
The tax code is written by government "to ENCOURAGE" people to do what the government wants. If you don't understand that much then there is no way you can understand the tax code. You'll keep parroting people who don't have your interest at heart. What's scary is people like you vote.
Don't condescend to me.
I understand way more than you think about the tax code as it pertains to property development.
I also understand a giant freakin scam when I see it.
What you call good business I call complete licence with the law and highway robbery.
One good thing from this is it's going to be obvious that this crap cannot stand. Donald is a shining example of why the tax code needs reform.
And NOT in his favor for a change.
Sheesh the dude can't even be bothered to find American workers or make his cheap crap here.
What I was saying, though, is there are no legal means by which the Clintons can reduce their tax rate. If they existed, they would make use of them but they don't exist when you're collecting ordinary income. You mentioned something about the legal tax codes being available to the Clintons. The tax laws exist but, when you make that much and it's all ordinary income and you're not a business owner, you're stuck with an extremely high tax rate.
For gods sake the Clinton foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. That means they don't pay taxes on that money but believe me they benefit personally from it.
