Not surprised. Anyone who has followed history of our Presidents know that everyone one of them has to do this.....

And you believe this reasoning is going to console the Bernie voters that just walked out on Hillary?

they can do what they gotta do - I think they're probably going to be better off with a Clinton presidency than with Trump -

In public - hate kittens

If Hillary actually came out and told the people what she really thinks about the issues she wouldn't stand a chance, so naturally she lies about it in public.

Not so sure about that. For example, most people I know are completely against her Free College for families who make less than $125k idea. I don't think she's completely bought into it and if she wins, she'll blame Congress for not funding it.

Hillary, what do you think of Mr. X taking objecting to matter Y?

Public Hillary: I disagree with his stance. We need to focus on the issues...

Private Hillary: Mr. X will sleep with the fishes.

When did you sit down to a one on one, private meeting, with Hillary Rodham Clinton?

Actually, when the Sunshine Laws came about, it was thought that having every.single.thing that was debated on the floor of whatever chamber would be a good thing. It turns out that what you are doing is giving away the totality of your position, which is a killer for effective negotiation. So, clinton basically saying that there have to be things kept private is not all that far fetched. For people who praise trump for saying that he doesn't want to give away his 'plan' to ISIS, there is certainly a lot of whining about the concept once it is spoken by someone other than trump.
