Hope the guy will end up with a felony and that takes away his voting right....but probably a liberal corrupt governor will pardone him in the future or give a $10 fine.
He probably won't get jail time so won't lose his right to vote. If he gets fined and/or probation he still gets to vote, even if a felony. If he's in county jail he gets to vote.
California. Individuals convicted of a felony are ineligible to vote while incarcerated and on parole. Voting rights are automatically restored upon completion of parole, and people on probation can vote. Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.
