In messy situations like this, it would be appropriate for the outgoing POTUS to grant some kind of pardon for any wrong-doing Comey may have committed, and let him resign and slip away into the night.

We won't achieve justice this year. There are simply to many people to beholden to deplorable perspectives. Too many racists. Too many sexists. Too many xenophobes. Too many Islamophobes. Too many homophobes. Too many people too wrapped up in their own greed. Too many people who cannot muster a reasonable amount of consideration for someone else. So we won't achieve justice this year. But hopefully we can turn this temporary retrograde action around, and start back up the path soon.

I preached this morning at church. During part of the service, I spoke the words of Rev. William Barber. They seem apropos here.
What transcends our labels, our political alliances, and our situational ethics? What is greater than the political majority at any given moment?

"Do justice" echoed in every ripple of the great river of resistance.

Treat people right, treat communities right, "Love mercy,"... Love helping people. Love building a government that cares for all.

Love the least, the left out, the lost. Enjoy lifting those who have been abandoned. Get excited about rescuing those who have failed.

And this: "Walk humbly before your God." Never think as a nation that your bombs, missiles, and weaponry make you greater than God. Never become a nation that's unable to repent when you have mistreated the vulnerable. Never become so arrogant in your wealth that you refuse to lift the poor. Never become so vain that you pray for God to bless America and forget that God is not your exclusive property.

Do justice. Love mercy. Walk humbly...

Well, he had to change his speech in Minnesota. As I just wrote in my last email, after he got off the plane he began saying he's been campaigning a lot in Minnesota, which is a lie. Today is his first time campaigning in that state according to local and national newspapers. I'm guessing he was prepared to talk about the emails and an indictment, blah, blah and this new announcement threw him off-guard.

Does anyone really believe the FBI processed 650,000 emails in that short time frame?

This just sucks.

They screw Hillary and then say oops?

Comey should resign. The FBI and Giuliani should be investigated.

And that loudmouth lying Trump who has been smearing, slandering and spouting absolute fiction for the last week about Clinton, owes her a YUUGGGE apology.

So he'll revert to his Democrat roots? Lie until people believe it has been SOP for the left for decades.

Comey is still toast. Last week's letter was a CLM.

Of course. Look at some of these threads on C-D that have thousands of comments. There are several thousand FBI agents and emails don't take very long to read. Most of them were duplicate emails they already reviewed. Agents are thoroughly trained to look for key words and other signs.
