Other interesting things. Biggest percentage for any 3rd party candidate in any state is McMullin (who I hadn't heard of till tonight) with 21% of Utah's vote and 7.1% of Idaho's. I'd have figured that Gary Johnson had a lock on best performance for a 3rd party candidate.
I mean, you have to look at some of the swings in these states from Obama to Trump. I mean Iowa might swing 16-17 points. Michigan might swing 11 points. Ohio probably swings 7. Absurd. So many Obama voters went straight to Trump from what I'm seeing.
Looks like Populist candidates with charisma are the way to go these days. Something both Obama and Trump have in common.
Or could it be the Obama voters in those states didn't come out and vote or there were lots of new voters this election? I just can't see a significant group of Obama fans going to Trump.
