Does Trump have the answer and the tools to end sanctuary cities ?

Looks like it could get into the struggle between state rights and federal rights.

Would cutting off funds bring them into the fold of putting American citizens first ? Will boycotting the cities help ? Will democrat voters who will see local taxes skyrocket vote out the leaders causing their discomfort or suck it up as they go bankrupt ?

I am all for states rights. I say cut federal funding, and let them fund it themselves. However, I also want a stronger border and deportation of criminals...

That may be what happens. When the poverty sets in, in the sanctuary cities the criminals will move out and go where the money is. Soon as they leave the cities they can be snatched up and sacked like rats leaving a sinking ship.

Bank robbers rob banks because that's where the money is.

Our NYC mayor has said that he will do all in his power to keep our sanctuary city including destroying the immigrant database.

Fortunately, the election is coming up and hopefully he'll be voted out.

I do hope Trump will cut fed funding but if our mayor get's reelected, then my taxes are going to go up again and that's when I think I'm moving out of NY.

Take away all Federal Funding for anything in those States. Sanctuary Cities should be illegal anyway, since its "Aiding and Abetting" Criminals who committed a Criminal Act by sneaking across our Borders. Its time to call these people what they are. They are not "Undocumented" Immigrants. They are Criminals that broke the Law intentionally. If it walks like a Duck, and Quacks like a Duck, its a Duck, until proven otherwise.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think being a sanctuary city doesn't mean that the feds still can't come in and round up illegal alien criminals.

I don't understand how hiding these dregs benefits anyone when they are still committing crimes. Round them up and either deport them or throw them in the slammer.

I agree.

Without federal funding, let's see how dedicated they are to violating US law and shielding illegals. Their constituents will force them to cave, otherwise face astronomical increases in taxes.

Your right. Federal Law "Trumps" State Laws. Trumps it even more now.
