Asking for a recount isn't necessarily about winning. When trump raised the issue, he thought he could use it, and the trumpists would have screamed for recounts all over the country if he had lost. This is more about the integrity of the voting process in this country. So, 'winners', get over it, and realize that there are people who want to be sure the election was indeed #notrigged. ONly way to know is to do the recount. duhhhhh.
It was smart of the Trump campaign to warn the election might be rigged. By harping on this it prevented the Dems from cheating in predominantly black voting districts and illegal vote counts conducted in Hispanic districts.
But cheating wasn't going to be issue this election. Not with Trump watching closely and not with Hillary projected to win the ECV by a substantial margin.
So, the Dems made sure everything was on the up and up because when Trump lost you know he would start screaming. Unfortunately, the Dems got the surprise of a lifetime... Trump won
O.k. so the Dems lost and Trump will be President.
Now the Dems are requesting a recount. Not much Trump can do but let them especially after all the yelling he did about a rigged election. Won`t change the fact Trump will still be president next year.
However, the Reps should also demand a recount in Cal.
Make sure Trump is kept out of this but do a recount in Cal. If voter fraud is found anywhere it will be in Cal especially Southern Cal.
And if the Reps can provide proof of voter fraud it will make stringent voter id requirements much easier pass.
I didn't know Stein was a Dem..... but, don't let facts get in you way.
Re, whether or not clinton is helping pay for the recount, shall we quote her - "what does it matter?". That 3 states with close results have been requested, by a candidate, to recount their votes is what matters. If there is no problem and the results come out the same, great! Democracy is safe for another day. If there is a problem? Well, shucks, trump said the election was rigged, didn't he?
The recount is of no consequence. The Hillary campaign saying they will "participate" is a concern. What does that mean? How? Neither Trump nor Hillary's people should be involved at all.
No candidate that has any stake in the election should be involved. Let the state officials do their jobs and stay out of it.
Why is it a concern that a second candidate is participating in the request for a recount? Maybe Johnson will get in on it, too. Got a problem with a candidate in an election "participating" in a recount? Or, just clinton?
You understand that the Obama admin investigated itself and found nothing wrong.
Do you not see what is wrong with the accused investigating him/herself?
FOX News and Breitbart, et. al., in addition to Trump (who didn't even believe it or even care), led you people by the nose for years about Clinton supposedly committing some great "crime." She didn't. Get over it. Your own congressional representatives spent millions of taxpayer dollars trying to find criminal evidence against her, and they couldn't. For god sake, give it up.
Right. Links to rabble-rousing, yellow-journalism, teeth-gnashing, right-wing nut job conspiracy sites feeding you people once again. And, once again, the right-wingers jump to the bait. For god sake, get a clue.
